Upcoming observing nights and practical notes
Check the latest details before heading out so everyone can plan calmly and observe together.
When is the next observing night?
Our next club skywatch is scheduled for Friday evening, with arrival from 19:30 and telescope setup beginning at twilight.
How do weather-dependent plans work?
If cloud cover is high or wind is unsafe, we post a same-day adjustment by 16:00 with either a delayed start, alternate date, or an indoor session.
What should visitors bring?
Bring warm layers, a red-light flashlight if you have one, and a notebook for observations. Loaner binoculars are usually available.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes—first-time visitors are encouraged to join. Members can help with sky orientation, constellations, and basic telescope use throughout the evening.
Where are update notices posted?
We publish all changes on the Meetups page first, then repeat key updates in the latest Notes entry when relevant.
